Motor optimization

A tester (dyno) is a machine to measure the engine's actual power and torque, calculated on the basis of engine power at the rear wheel, with the results shown graphically.

It is a very welcome aid when working on the engine itself, as it gives a clear picture of the power and torque before and after the work (e.g. replacement of the air filter with a K&N filter, replacement of the exhaust system, installation and optimisation of Power Commander, installation and optimisation of complete racing electronics, replacement of the camshaft, work on the engine head, installation of the lower head gasket).

And more importantly, only a tester can help optimise engine work, as for example when Dynojet electronics are installed together with a new exhaust system, the engine can be set up in many different combinations. The end result of each combination is a different way of transmitting power and a different final engine power, while there are also significant differences in fuel consumption.

By way of example, without optimisation on the tester, a new exhaust system and a Dynojet Power Commander with the correct program will only give 50% of the possible improvement in power and torque on average. The remaining 50% is hidden away in the subsequent optimisation brought by Čarman Motorsport's know-how and experience (and our test stand).

Computer support allows for careful monitoring and reliable, accurate measurement.

Čarman Motosport is one of the very few motorbike service centres in Slovenia to use this equipment.

The cost of measuring the power of your motorbike depends on the actual time taken to do so. The rate is EUR 120 per hour, including VAT.

Come and see us, and we will set up your engine in line with your driving methods and requirements.
